APPSC Group I – Nature of Posts, Eligibility & Age Criteria

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) Group I Services constitute the highest level of administrative, executive, and enforcement positions in the state civil services. These posts involve policy implementation, public administration, law enforcement, revenue management, and social welfare responsibilities.

I. APPSC Group I – Name of the Posts

  • Deputy Collector in A.P. Civil Service (Executive Branch)
  • Assistant Commissioner of State Tax in A.P. State Tax Service
  • Deputy Superintendent of Police (Civil) – Category II in A.P. Police Service
  • Deputy Superintendent of Police (Jails) in A.P. Jail Service
  • Divisional / District Fire Officer in State Disaster Response & Fire Services
  • Regional Transport Officer (RTO) in A.P. Transport Service
  • District Backward Classes Welfare Officer in A.P. B.C. Welfare Service
  • District Social Welfare Officer in A.P. Social Welfare Service
  • Deputy Registrar in A.P. Cooperative Service
  • Municipal Commissioner (Grade–II) in A.P. Municipal Administration Service
  • District Registrar in Land & Stamps (Assurance)
  • Assistant Treasury Officer / Assistant Accounts Officer in A.P. Treasury & Accounts Service

II. Educational Qualification

  • A Graduation Degree from a recognized University is the basic educational qualification.
  • Post-wise or service-specific qualifications (if any) will be notified in the official APPSC Group I Notification.

III. Age Limit

The age limit for APPSC Group I examination is as follows:

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 42 Years
  • Age is calculated based on the cut-off date mentioned in the official notification.
