Syllabus for CSAT PAPER II (Prelims - Strategy) 2026

UPSC is the central recruiting agency that recruits candidates for various services like IAS, IPS, IFS, and other Group A & B Central Services, totaling 21 public service posts,Annually by conducting CSE Examination.the Examination consists of three stages-Prelimary(400 marks only for Qualifying), Mains(1750 marks for Ranking) and Interview(275 marks.the Mains and Interview marks will be counted for the Final selections of the Candidates).

The UPSC releases an annual calendar at least six months in advance, listing examination schedules and details. Aspirants can apply online for the UPSC (CSE) Examination at https://upsconline.nic.in.

The duration for applying online is clearly mentioned in the notification. Usually, candidates get around three weeks to applyfor UPSC CSE & IFS.

Yes. The fee for UPSC CSE is ₹100 for General, OBC, and EWS male candidates for the prelims, and ₹200 for the mains exam.

Female candidates (all categories), SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are exempted from paying any examination fee.

The candidate must hold a degree from a recognized university, Final-year students or those awaiting results can also apply for the Pelims.
